I am READY.

What words have you picked for your new year/chapter?

This year, my Word of the Year process unfolded differently than any of the others over the last 10+ years I have been using this practice. While I usually only pick one or two words to help guide my days, this year surprised me and called for more. Much more.

The vision board I created to help anchor my words.

My word for 2025 is READY, the main character who will be accompanied by some friends named Believe, Focus, and Shine. They will work closely together and unite around a common language, my phrase for the year, “Remember and Do What Matters.”

To commemorate this new team, here is the first poem I wrote to capture what these words mean to me.

I am READY.

and my dreams.

to FOCUS on 
my goals 
and my promises. 

I am ready 
to SHINE 
light 
and make magic. 

I am ready 
to remember 
and do what matters.
